Obelisk Table Lamp - Dark Walnut

A beautiful sculptural piece to accent any decor. A few things to note, though: 1 – This lamp takes TWO bulbs, not one as indicated in the specs (I think this is the manufacturer’s error, not overstock’s – this lamp is listed on every other site I could find it on as taking only one bulb). Both sockets are situated parallel to the table/surface it is set on. 2 – The finish is a rich brown gloss *wood grain* rather than flat espresso brown as it appears in pictures. It seems to be wood grain plating, not solid wood. Still a quality finish, just not exactly what I expected. 3 – The lamp does not really “lean” as it would appear to in the picture. The base has a straight up-and-down edge at the back, the other side tapers toward the edge from the widest part, the base. It is more like a rectangular base sliced in half diagonally – not the “tilted leaning balance” it is pictured as. I can’t figure out any angle that makes it appear to lean as it does in the picture. It’s still a unique & interesting shaped lamp, but the ‘slanted’ base is not quite as striking as the “leaning balanced” tower pictured. The same image is used for this lamp across the internet, this does not seem to be something overstock did – more likely the manufacturer. 4 – There was minor wear & chips on the edges of the base when I received the lamp. Likely from handling by the manufacturer. Nothing so bad as to return it, but it could have been handled with more care considering the cost & level of quality associated with Nova Lighting. Overall I’m still pleased with it, but I would have preferred to see more accurate pictures before purchasing.
