Shipping

All standard sized items ship via freight carrier within 1-5 business days after purchase. We offer free standard ground shipping on orders over $600. All orders under $600 will incur a flat rate shipping fee depending on location.

Currently, we only ship within the United States and are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

For shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada or other regions, standard flat shipping rates do not apply. Please contact us for a customized quote.

If your package shows delivered, but hasn’t arrived, please email us at customerservice@novaofcalifornia.com. We’ll be happy to investigate the issue for you and make sure you receive your delivery..

  • Inspect shipments upon receipt for damages (visible or concealed).
  • Note damages on the freight bill at the time of delivery and report within 48 hours to NOVA.
  • Unreported damages may incur a charge with evidence that the item is field destroyed or a receipt is provided for donations.
  • Filing a freight claim does not exempt the customer from payment obligations.
  • Report manufacturer defects within 10 days of receipt.
  • Credit or replacement provided upon verification; credits valid for 90 days from the issue date.
  • NOVA will not be responsible for any incidental damage arising from the use of the product.

Gift cards are a perfect way to give the gift of beautiful lighting to your loved ones.

After your order ships, you’ll receive an email containing your tracking number. Click the link in the email to track your shipment’s status.

To cancel your order or update any associated information, please email customerservice@novaofcalifornia.com. Note that we cannot cancel or update orders once they’ve shipped and most orders are queued within 24 hours.

Returns

To return a product, the following criteria must be met or the return will be rejected.

Please ensure the product is returned in its original, unused condition with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation. To initiate a return, you must obtain a return authorization (RA) number from NOVA of California customer service. Returns without an RA number will not be accepted.

Before shipping, send us a photo of the packaging and contents so we can assess the condition. We use ISTA16 packaging to protect our products during FedEx/UPS handling. If the product is not repacked in the same manner, it may be damaged and become unsellable, which will result in the return being rejected.

All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your refund. The return must be initiated within 14 days of delivery, and all return shipping costs, including insurance, are the responsibility of the customer. You must provide proof of delivery for the return shipment.

Please note that refunds will only be issued after the item has been inspected and confirmed to be in salable condition. This may take up to 30 days. Damaged or used items will not be eligible for a refund. Let’s work together to ensure a safe return and prevent unnecessary waste in our landfills.

If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return items within 14 days of delivery, provided they meet the following conditions:

Condition Requirements:

  • Items must be in their original, unused condition.

Packaging Standards:

  • Use the original ISTA6 packaging to ensure protection during return shipping.
  • Incorrect repackaging may result in damage, leading to return rejection.

Restocking Fee:

  • A 25% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, including insurance.
  • Provide a tracking number or proof of delivery for the return shipment.

Please Note:

  • Returns are not accepted for final sale items or gift cards.
  • Trade and contract/hospitality orders have separate terms and conditions.

You can expect to see the refund reflected on your next credit card billing statement once the item has been inspected and confirmed for resale. Please allow up to 30 days for the refund to appear, depending on your billing cycle.

  • Sale prices during promotional periods apply only to those events and cannot be combined with other discounts.

Trade Customers

After logging into our Trade portal and receiving approval from our NOVA of California service team, you will be able to place Trade orders directly through our Trade website.

The average shipping lead time for in-stock merchandise is 7–10 business days from receipt of your order.

For new trade accounts on Net 30 terms: $1,500 minimum.

No minimum if the order is placed online and paid for by credit card.

  • We typically ship FedEx ground using your 3rd party billing account, unless otherwise specified. All freight charges are FOB NOVA Warehouse in Ontario, CA
  • NOVA exited the tradeshow circuit during the pandemic. We have no plans to return and are able to offer reduced pricing as a result of the reduction in these marketing costs.

  • Custom changes incur a 50% up-charge and require a 50% deposit, with a 90-day lead time from order receipt.
  • Final 50% payment due before shipment.
  • NOVA has carefully inspected each product at the time of manufacture and warrants each product to be free from defects in workmanship at the time of shipment. Each product is further warranted to function properly under normal conditions of use for a period of 1-year from the date of the NOVA invoice.
  • Misuse, abuse, or alteration voids warranty. Contact NOVA Customer Service for repair or replacement.

Materials & Care

  • Clean with a dry cloth only.
  • Avoid harsh cleaners and chemicals to preserve the integrity of the materials.
  • For delicate finishes, use a dry cloth.
  • A damp cloth may be used on clear glass or mirror glass.
  • For minor scratches on wood or gold-leaf, you can use a standard touch up pen found online or in hardware stores.
  • For any minor scratches on black surfaces, we recommend using a black Sharpie.
  • Light bulbs are not included unless the product includes an LED module. Quality, dimmable, flicker free LED bulbs are strongly recommended.

To showcase the elegant linear lines of an arc lamp, it’s best to place it in a spot where it can stand alone, allowing the eye to follow the base up along the gently sloping arm to the shade. Setting an arc lamp in a room can also create an illusion of height, making the space feel taller.

Natural Mineral Mica: Organic mica is a naturally occurring mineral, with various types and forms found worldwide. Each lamp shade made with mica will have unique patterns, colorations, and sheens, adding to the individuality of each piece.
