Porcelain is a natural material drawn from the earth and each translucent shade is individually hand-pulled from a slip-cast mold. This age-old artisanal process results in subtle variations in translucency, tone, and surface finish, making every piece unique. If you prefer a uniform, mass-produced look, slip-cast bone porcelain may not be the best fit for you, but we love the warmth and diffused light it provides.
Each marble base is one-of-a-kind, shaped from natural stone formed by the earth. At NOVA, we have a long-standing tradition of using real marble in our arc lamp bases, not only for stability, but also for its timeless beauty. As an organic material, natural marble features unique variations in veining, tone, and surface finish, making every piece distinctive. If you prefer a uniform, mass-produced look, real marble may not be the best fit for you, but we love its warmth and the way natural materials bring character into a home.
